DIAMOND SHIBORI TIE DYE PATTERN TUTORIAL

This diamond pattern is really very simple to make with shibori folding techniques and an indigo vat.  I folded into the quarters and then accordion style on the diagonal.  Check out the video for the visuals.  I tied them up with paint sticks and string.  Then I dipped them in my indigo vat.

After it gets dipped then I allow the pattern to oxidize.  The indigo will appear to be great before the air hits it.  It's important to let it turn blue.  Then you can rinse it and wash it with dyer's detergent.
